what wool can I use instead of Debbie Bliss cashmerino superchunky?
I have a pattern that’s made using the above wool – but it’s so expensive! What wool can I use instead – needles 7.5mm (US 11)
There are vast number of possibilities. The only important thing to keep in mind is gauge. Research different bulky yarns. Or go to your LYS(local yarn store) and tell them the gauge you’re going for, the type of project you’re doing and ask for their recommendations. I’m sure they will be more than willing to help you find a nice affordable wool yarn for your project. I see that the super chunky by Debbie Bliss is 3 stitches to the inch on size 11 needles. Don’t limit yourself to the size 11 needles. If you find a yarn that suits you and needs a size 13 to achieve the 3 stitches to the inch gauge then go for it. It will be worth it to take your time and do the extra research especially if you’re willing to put your valuable time into it.
