Can’t paint my bedroom walls! Want a cool artsy look!?
I’m in the process of redecorating my bedroom. I’m a freshmen in college and since I’m not moving into a dorm my mom has given me permission to sell EVERYTHING and start over. I’m super excited but I have a big room with high ceilings and bland cream walls.. Now, I plan on painting them stark white (If anything that’s all I can do, according to the landlord) but I’m buying a black wrought iron daybed and want a vintage/chic or maybe an artsy/contemp. kind of look to my room. Maybe blues or purples, maybe even burnt oranges (Not all mixed) but I’m going for deep and bold so boring walls just won’t cut it (I’m not into the whole “poster” thing so those won’t be on my wall everrr) Any ideas on how to bring some color to the walls? If anyone knows of wall decals that fit this look I’d LOVE if you could provide a link. Anything goes, just give me ideas! 🙂 Thanks!
Are you any good with a paintbrush to paint your own mural on canvas? (Like on a canvas drop cloth…cheap to do and can cut to size you want)…or have a friend who’s any good at it? You can create your own theme….be it scenic or black and white silhouettes of fashionistas-do 3 in a row. Or you can do an outline of a cityscape. Just tack up the panels on the wall when finished.
