If I replace a dc electric motor’s ceramic magnets with stronger neodymium magnets, will the motor work better?

Do you know of anyone who has done this and what kind of results they got?

It all depends on what you mean by “work better”. In theory it will develop more power, if that is what you want. In practice, unless the new magnets are of exactly the same size and shape as the old ones, and they are positioned correctly, the motor’s performance may even be worse. If you really need a more powerful motor for this application, it might be easier just to fit a bigger motor.
