Help Please!!!! I’m moving into a Condo with dark hardwood floors?
I have 2 white loveseats with occasional slashes of light silvery green. One of the “walls” is ceiling to floor glass so there’s plenty of light and a terrific view of the River. I want to paint the walls a light silvery green…..I’m going for a calm, unfussy, contemporary look.
What should I do about window treatments, accent pieces, lamps, rugs, etc?
Thank you for any suggestions….I’m stuck.
Your colour choices sound great. Your accent pieces (coffee tables, side tables, sofa table) should be in black to ground the room. Keep the pieces slick, square and straight lined. Lamps can be in brushed silver and your frames can be in either brushed silver or black. As for your area rug….if you have to have one pick one with the silvery green in it. Place some tall plants in the room and maybe a tall bookshelf if room for it to add some height. As for your window treatments…I would opt for an off white colour. You can add splashes of colour with coloured glass vases, and pillows (textured), and maybe a throw. Dark hardwood is such a rich colour for a room, that you can do just about anything and it will look great…glad you did not pick boring beige.
Terrific starter home*Newer carpet, interior paint & so much…
