Anyone have good dimensions for a “lap” quilt?
I need to know good dimensions for a lap size quilt as I have never made a quilt before.
Fold up a blanket or sheet to what you think is a good size, and try it out for a couple of hours. Refold until you get the size you like.
About 36-48″x48-54″ is a good size for a wheelchair quilt; something about 48-54″x54-60″ is a good size for an ordinary lap quilt.
What pattern do you intend to use? The block size (assuming you’re doing blocks) can have a big bearing on the size of the finished quilt.
