What specifically does MIB (Mint) mean?

Ok, so I was selling someones entire Barbie collection on ebay, and for this one Barbie I put it as MIB or mint in box. Now it’s been a while and the buyer is asking for a partial refund, and saying that I did not describe the Barbie properly, because it does not come with it’s Certificate of Authenticity and has been removed from the box. Now when I was doing my research I found that a Barbie can be MIB and have been removed before and that’s why they have NRFB (never removed from box). Also I can’t find out wether something that is in mint condition has to have it’s certificate. So preferably people who really know about this stuff let me know. Am I in the wrong describing something as MIB when it has been removed before and there is no certificate? Or am I right that I can dispute this case and win?

To serious collectors, MIB means the item in question is in mint condition, and the box has never been opened. It means the item is in the same condition it was when it left the factory. In your case, it is not. You can dispute the case, but I don’t think you have a chance of winning.
